Director Job Descriptions
This is a outline of the positions traditionally allocated to Après’ 12 members at large serving on the Board of Directors. These positions may change or be combined. Assistants may be applied for. All directors are expected to attend BOD meetings, currently the first Wednesday of the month. Activity Directors - All activity directors are responsible for setting up activities related to their function. It is not necessary for the director to lead the activity but to solicit for leaders, make suggestions and help members offering to lead an activity understand the procedure, including advertising and accounting. Activity leaders are responsible for reconciling activity accounts submitted by leaders. There is a lot of web based help for both directors and leaders. The following are Après’ traditional directorships. Activity Directorships:
Scribe Editor - Edit and publish The Scribe. Solicit for articles both advertising and reporting. Coordinate with the Webmaster and the master calendar. Webmaster - Maintain the web weekly. Coordinate with the Scribe editor. Travel - Organize Après group travel, domestic and/or international, winter (ski) and summer. Present a detailed financial account. Industry - Promote Après, in particular solicit vendors for the SKOP. Lodge Operations - Solicit for organized events at the Lodge. Maintain the on-line deluxe room calendar and take weekend reservations. Reconcile the non-organized sign-up sheets. Audit accounts submitted by lodge event leaders. Marketing - Develop fundraising ideas. Help organize the SKOP. Property - Ensure the Après Lodge is properly maintained, organize work parties, order wood, maintain the Santa Clara storage locker. BAC Rep - Represent Après at BAC meetings and pass on BAC information at Board Meetings. Order and distribute discount lift tickets. Member at Large - A resource for the historical operations and procedures of the Club. Develop a club history. |
