8:30 at park headquarters on the East side

Carpool (if you wish) from Park and Ride at NW corner of freeway 85 and 87 at 6:30am. It is very easy to get to. From 87 South take the Santa Teresa off ramp and turn left right away. From 85 South, take the Santa Teresa off ramp and make 2 left turns (each has traffic light) and from 85 North, the Santa Teresa off ramp runs right into the lot (past the light.) This lot is patrolled which is why I like it. This is also where we met last year. Please arrive early so we can leave promptly at 6:30am.

Bring lunch and liquid, wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers

This is a long hike (over 10 miles) very steep in places. Wild flowers should be in full bloom. Views are fantastic.

Dinner in San Juan Bautista after the hike. I need to know how many want to come for dinner so that I can get reservations for us.
