Après Ski Club Email Group Policy
Pertains to messages posted to apres@yahoogroups.com Rev. March 2010 It is Après’ policy that Yahoogroups will be used solely to notify Après members of upcoming events, club announcements and opportunities that will benefit our membership. Ride share offers/requests may be posted if the poster can be identified as a current member of Après Ski Club. Political (including Club politics), religious, inspirational messages, jokes, seasonal greetings, charity causes (unless an Après sponsored activity such as Second Harvest, Disabled Skiers or KTEH), or commercial solicitations will not be posted. Personal email messages or those emails expressing viewpoints one way or the other will not be accepted. Après does not take a stand one way or the other on any subject and simply does not pass them on to the general membership, as they are not relevant to the purpose of Après Ski Club. Joining Après Yahoogroups is not restricted. However, messages may only be posted by current members of Après Ski Club or be sponsored by a current Après Ski Club member. Non-Après functions and activities may be posted by current Après members only or be sponsored by a current Après member. These postings must display the liability clause: THIS IS NOT AN APRÈS SPONSORED EVENT. Being a member of Après Yahoogroups does not constitute being a member of Après Ski Club. Postings, which appear to be directed to one person or a select group of people will be rejected. People do, from time to time, hit the "reply to all" button when sending responses to postings received from the group, but these will not be forwarded. Such messages should be sent via a private email list to friends. Requestors will be sent a gentle reminder that the purpose of the Après Yahoogroups is to provide information that benefits the membership. The moderator has the authority to reject a message that he/she feels has the potential to be inflammatory. |
