Check-out procedure for non-organized weekends and weekdays:

  1. Clean up your bedroom and empty your wastebasket.
  2. Check to see that you have not left any of your personal belongings.
  3. Clean the bathroom that you have used and empty the wastebasket.
  4. Check the refrigerator for your personal food and drinks.
  5. Empty the kitchen trash and resupply the wood pile.
  6. Sweep and mop the kitchen and dining room floor if it needs to be done.
  7. Turn off all the lights.
  8. Close all the windows and make sure the doors are locked when you leave.

Cancellation Policy

  • Club cancelled activity - full refund
  • Cancellations up to one week before the activity - full refund.
  • Cancellations three days before the activity, 8 p.m. - 50% refund.
  • Cancellations that are less than 3 days before the activity, 8 p.m. - no refund.
  • No refund for no shows.
  • A full refund will be made if there is a waiting list and a person from that list accepts the spot.

General Rules

  1. You must sign the waiver sheet in the binder on the dryer. Lodge Event Waiver Form
  2. The maximum number of guests at the lodge is 30.
  3. Bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, towel and soap.
  4. Do not wear your ski boots in the lodge.
  5. Absolutely NO PETS at the lodge, midweek included.
  6. SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE LODGE and is permitted outside only.
  7. Food in the dining rooms only (except for hors dí oeuvres).
  8. A shed is provided for bicycle storage.
  9. No TVís or radios allowed in bunk rooms.
  10. The shed has full ski waxing facilities.
  11. Sleeping on couches in the living room is not allowed.

Guests at the Lodge

All guests must be accompanied by an Apres member. The Apres member must write the check for their stay because checks are not accepted from guests. Guests may use Paypal if in effect for the event. Guests can be single or married.

A price differential shall be charged non-members. A member may sponsor up to five (5) guests at the Lodge without prior approval by the Lodge Operations Director. A member can reserve a deluxe-room bed and an additional bed for one (1) guest in the same deluxe room up to thirty (30) days in advance. Additional beds in deluxe rooms can be reserved for guests of the same member only seven (7) days in advance. See also guests at orgainzed weekends.

Children at the Lodge

Children are allowed on non-organized weekends and weekdays only. Children are allowed on organized events only when specifically advertised that they are welcome. Children under 4 years of age are not allowed at the lodge at any time for their own safety. Note: children, age 4-21 on the ski race team will be allowed to stay at the lodge during the scheduled race weekend.


Lodge coupons are only for use by the named recipient and their accompanying members or guests. They may not be given or transferred to other persons for independent use. When used during an organized event coupons are valid only for room costs.

Lost Article Policy

Lost or left articles may be reported by calling and leaving a message for the Lodge Resident on the lodge answering machine at (530) 546-3213. The lodge resident will place the lost articles in the lost and found box in the attic. He is not expected to return calls. Arrangements can be made with the Lodge Ops Director or assistant for pick-up.

Procedures for Organized Events

The Scribe and web list the planned weekends, dates, prices and lodge captains. The listed captain will take paid-in-full reservations no sooner than 30 days in advance. Make your check payable to Apres Ski Club (cash is not accepted) and mail it to the lodge captain. You may use Paypal if the captain permits this. If you are using coupons, be sure to sign and date them. Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis, according to the postmark on your envelope. Indicate to the lodge captain your room preference and chore. However, your choices are only valid once the captain confirms your reservation and selections. Checks will also be accepted in person at general meetings, if the captain is in attendance at the meeting.

Before leaving for Tahoe you must obtain the door code via the website (Click here) or check with the lodge captain for the door code. Upon arrival at the lodge, sign the waiver sheet that is located in the binder on the dryer and check the chore sheet to verify your chore. Everyone will be assigned a chore. Typical chores include cooking cleaning, carrying out garbage, and replenishing firewood. An on-line chore sign-up form is normally available linked from the event web page.

Lodge rates on organized weekends

the price is to be determined by the lodge captain. Check with them or refer to the Scribe or web. Included in the price of most organized weekends is a Friday night snack, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

Race team priority

During ski season, the race team has first priority at the lodge on the scheduled race weekends until 8:00pm the preceding Sunday.

In addition, members may reserve a bunk room for one guest up to thirty (30) days prior to the event start date if a deluxe room is not available and beds in any room for up to 5 guests one week prior to the event start date.

Accommodation for non-participants

Participation in full is encouraged. At the discretion of the event leader and subject to availability partial attendance at a pro rata rate or room only attendance at standard room rates might be permitted. Advance booking for other than full attendance is rarely permitted. Check with the event leader in advance.

Special diets

If you have special dietary needs contact the event leader about a week before. The event leader is not obligated to provide for special diets.

Procedures for Non-Organized Stays

Door code

Obtain door code from website ( Click here) or call the Lodge Ops Director or assistant for the door combination before leaving for Tahoe. See BOD listing for contact informtion.


Bunks are first come, first served. Upon arrival at the lodge, find an open bunk, write your name on white board behind the front door, sign the waiver sheet in the binder on the dryer, and leave a check and/or coupons in the folder in the binder.

Deluxe Rooms

Deluxe rooms may be reserved Friday and Saturday nights but are first come, first served week days. For availability check the reservation table and contact the lodge operations director. Remember your reservation is accepted by "check in hand" and not a phone call. Make your check payable to Apres Ski Club, and/or sign and date your coupons and mail them to the Lodge Ops Director, see address below, no earlier than 30 days in advance of your stay. If reserving just one bed in a deluxe room, the other bed may be assigned to another person. Upon arrival, sign the waiver sheet in the binder on the dryer.

Above prices DO NOT include Placer County Tax of 10%. Coupon value is taxable. Tax is reflected on lodge sign-up sheet and Calculator.

Prices are PER PERSON, PER NIGHT. Rates are for beds only. Food is not included on an unorganized day. Make check payable to Apres Ski Club. See cancellation policy.

"Blue" coupons are valued at the bunk room rate (currently $20, $15 children), "white" are a deluxe supplement ($5).

Children are only allowed at the lodge on non-organized days when accompanied by a parent.


As shown above, bunk rate plus $5.00 per person, plus tax, per night. All deluxe rooms have dressers, closets, mirrors and a lock on the door. Rooms #3, #4, #7 and #8 are deluxe rooms. #3 has two single beds, #4 & #7 have a full size (double) bed and a single bed and #8 has a single bed and a queen size bed. They may be reserved for one or two people on Friday and Saturday nights.
